| Details | Approximately 537 million adults (20-79 years) are living with diabetes globally and this number projected to rise to 643 million by 2030 and 783 million by 2045 Similary, over 2 million deaths per year can be attributed to Diabetes alone making it the ninth leading cause of death in the world one of the cases of diabetes related morbidity and mortality is sub optimal care attributed to inadequate capacity of health workers in diabetes care.
One of the mandates of Uganda Diabetes Association to enhance the capacity of health workers to provide optimal evidence based diabetes care. As one of our regular activities UDA organize annual scientific conferences. This year's conference will be held on 14 July 2023 starting at 8:00am The theme is "Optimal diabetes care for all: Protecting the future of patients living with diabetes" |
