| Details | Between July and September 2025, the National MPDSR team convened weekly review sessions to strengthen the response to the leading causes of maternal and perinatal mortality. These sessions provided a dynamic learning platform where participants shared best practices in the implementation of the Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Response (MPDSR) system and exchanged insights on emerging issues in safe motherhood. The discussions emphasized continuous quality improvement through key interventions such as Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (CEmONC), Postnatal Care (PNC), and other targeted strategies addressing critical gaps in maternal and newborn health. The group further conducted in-depth reviews of actions proposed from lower-level health facilities, providing technical guidance to ensure timely follow-up and effective translation of lessons into practice. |
